Terms of Service
Version 2026-09-02 · in effect from 2 September 2026
The agreement between [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME] and the company using DPP Build.
1. The service
DPP Build lets you record product and material data, generate GS1 Digital Link QR codes, and publish public Digital Product Passports. We provide the tool; the data in it is yours.
2. We are not a certification body
This is the most important clause here. DPP Build does not verify, certify or approve the accuracy of what you publish. Legal responsibility for the correctness of a Digital Product Passport rests with the manufacturer — you sign the declarations of conformity, not us.
What we provide is validation of obvious errors, a record of who changed what and when, and automatic flagging of materials on substance-of-concern lists. That makes it easier to be accurate and harder to hide inaccuracy. It is not a substitute for knowing your own supply chain.
3. Your account
Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [hello@yourdomain] if you think it has been compromised.
4. Plans, limits and payment
Each plan includes a number of products, enforced by the service. Reaching the limit stops new products being created; it does not affect passports already published. Prices and included volumes are those shown at the time you subscribe.
[PAYMENT TERMS — billing period, renewal, refunds, notice for price changes]
5. What you must not do
Do not publish data you know to be false, upload anything you have no right to, attempt to reach another customer's data, or use the service to break the law.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the service available and will not promise a figure we have not measured. Published passports are served from a content delivery network and remain readable during maintenance of the application itself.
[SERVICE LEVEL COMMITMENT, if any]
7. Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time. Export your data before you do: after closure we delete it on the schedule in the Privacy Policy. Withdrawing a product replaces its public passport with a withdrawal notice rather than removing the address, because a QR code already printed on a product keeps being scanned.
8. Liability
[LIABILITY CAP AND EXCLUSIONS — to be set with counsel]
9. Governing law
[GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION]
